We’re celebrating after one of our apprentices was shortlisted for ‘Electrical Apprentice of the Year’ at this year’s prestigious Electrical Industry Awards.

Last year we won the ‘Electrical Contractor of the Year’ category and now Rob Cross from our Crawley branch will be representing the company at the ceremony in London on 24 October.

Rob completed his apprenticeship last month and has already been promoted to the position of team leader, managing his own workload and team.

“He’s played a key role in helping us establish ourselves in Crawley”, said Justin Tyler, Area Supervisor.  “I had no hesitation in nominating him for the award and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he gets the recognition he deserves”.

“We put much of our success down to employing and training our own apprentices”, commented Lindsey Young, HR & Training Director.  “It has allowed us to create a highly dedicated and productive workforce that we can rely on to deliver the service our customers demand.  We’re starting to emerge from one of the toughest periods our industry has ever faced and we feel our commitment to investing in our staff helped give us the competitive edge we needed to survive it.”

The winners will be announced at The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington on 24 October.
