This year, Friday 13th took no resemblance to the American horror franchise, nor were there any signs of it being an unlucky day as set by western superstition. Instead, we helped transform the lives of people throughout the world through our red nose day fundraising efforts.

Here’s how we did it.

With a fleet of over 300 vehicles, we armed a number of our vans with red noses and pledged to donate an additional £5 for staff who followed our example and purchased noses for their company vehicles.

We channelled our inner Mary Berrys and cooked up some delicious baked sweets and treats for our bake sale.

We donned our red Clothes, some even purchased special red nose day t-shirts.

Ben Proctor, team leader, hosted his very own bake sale in Oxford.

And finally, we sold red noses at our HQ in Gloucester – we even managed to squeeze in a few selfies!

In light of our efforts, we’re pleased to reveal that the magic number is £435!

Here’s just some of the ways our donation will transform the lives of others:

  • £50 could pay for one night’s emergency accommodation for a woman who’s fled domestic violence
  • £195 is enough to help protect 65 children in Uganda from deadly waterborne diseases by giving them access to clean drinking water at their school
  • £215 could staff and run a domestic violence helpline in Uganda for over three months, giving support and advice to women experiencing abuse.

We would like to thank everyone at Clarkson Evans for their fundraising efforts.
