Award-winning Clarkson Evans has appointed former SuperGroup Group Financial Controller Paula Bradshaw as its new Finance Director.

Paula, who trained at PwC in London, will lead an 11-strong finance team, set on continuing to improve the financial performance of the Top 100 Gloucestershire business.

Attracting Paula to the role was seen as a real coup for the Staverton-based company, which has achieved impressive year-on-year growth over the past five years.

Paula brings considerable experience to her new role having held senior finance roles, including Finance Director, across a variety of sectors in fast growth private equity backed, privately owned and FTSE 250 plc companies.

In previous roles, at businesses such as SuperGroup (the parent company of the iconic Superdry brand), national dentistry group Oasis Healthcare and global oil and gas services provider The Expro Group, she led the development of the finance function and implemented new finance systems and processes to support business growth.

Paula has significant stakeholder management experience at board level and externally, and in the effective provision of financial management for strategic business projects and financing.

“It is an exciting time to join the board at Clarkson Evans and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play a strategic role in helping the company grow and develop for the benefit of its customers,” said Paula.

“I plan to draw upon the experience I’ve gained working in different industry sectors to add value to Clarkson Evans. I am looking forward to contributing to the financial strategy as well as working with my fellow directors to exploit our business development opportunities,” she added.

Managing Director Nathan Evans is full of praise for Paula: “Paula is a highly experienced finance professional who joins Clarkson Evans with an impressive track record of strategic leadership and strong financial management. She is a welcome addition to our board,” said Nathan.

Paula is the second new director to join the board at Clarkson Evans this year. In May Simon Kingwell became the firm’s new production director.

Clarkson Evans specialises in wiring new homes for the UK’s leading housing developers, wiring around 1 in 10 of all new properties built in England and Wales last year. In total Clarkson Evans employs around 750 staff and operates across much of southern England, the Midlands and south Wales.
