Evans Electrical grew steadily throughout the late 1980s and into the early 1990s, despite a housing market that was in recession. The company’s trading title was changed to Clarkson Evans after Steve Evans partnered up with his then apprentice Steve Clarkson, and in 1992 we moved to our first proper commercial premises. Another milestone came in 1998 when we started our in-house training for apprentices.
The company today is unrecognisable from the small firm it was back then. Although our head office remains in Gloucester, we now operate across much of England and Wales and our fleet of more than 370 vans can be spotted far and wide. Annual turnover is approaching £45m and we employ more than 750 staff.
Take a look at our timeline below to see how Clarkson Evans has expanded to become the UK's leading electrical contractor and electrical training specialist.
