Our electricians and apprentices operate in small teams, each headed up by a team leader. Because the whole team share in a bonus scheme which reflects their efforts on site, everyone feels encouraged to work quickly and efficiently – and this means forward planning and getting things right first time.
Reporting to a regional supervisor, the team leader has responsibility for all day-to-day activities on site such as booking in work with the site manager and ensuring build programmes are adhered to. They are also responsible for ensuring that their teams work safely and produce workmanship of a high standard. Once the wiring is complete, team leaders tests each property before issuing the NICEIC certificate.
The team leader will attend site meetings and is the site manager’s first point of contact for any problems that may arise.
