Clarkson Evans has joined the Supply Chain Sustainability School, a collaborative membership body set up to encourage contractors and suppliers to improve sustainability.

The School encourages its members to work together to tackle the environmental and social sustainability issues within the construction industry.

Funded by the UK’s top construction contractors and clients, the School provides free practical support, training workshops and online resources to help businesses tackle environmental, social and economic sustainability issues.

“We are delighted to have become a member of the Supply Chain Sustainability School and are looking forward to improving our knowledge and working practices to become a more sustainable business,” said Tim Bisp, Commercial Director at Clarkson Evans.

“Sustainability is a critical issue for the construction industry and we are determined to play our part in sharing our sustainability success and failures with others,” he added.

Clarkson Evans’ award-winning apprenticeship programme was recognised as a beacon of best practice at a recent SCSS breakfast event in Reading.

“We look forward to working in partnership with our housebuilder customers to generate social value and benefit local communities whilst also improving our internal policies and procedures to reduce waste and increase efficiency,” added Tim.
