Tim Bisp has been appointed to the role of Commercial Director at Clarkson Evans, becoming the latest addition to the board at the leading South West electrical contractors.

Tim, who lives in Bristol and has worked at Clarkson Evans since 2009, after joining the company from a Bristol-based electrical contractor, was instrumental in setting up the company’s dedicated customer care department.

Since then he was promoted to the role of commercial manager and this month (December) became commercial director after the board freed up Leigh Mason to become the firm’s dedicated Technical Director.

Tim’s key responsibilities include managing the teams who are responsible for all commercial aspects of contract management, from the initial tender stage right through to invoicing. Clarkson Evans specialises in wiring new homes for the UK’s leading house builders so the high value contracts involved can each be worth £500,000 or more.

“This is a well-deserved promotion for a member of our team who has always given 100 per cent and grasped every opportunity to take on extra responsibility,” said Steve Evans, Managing Director at Clarkson Evans.

“Tim brings considerable expertise to the role and will be instrumental in ensuring that we make the most of the opportunities presented by the current expansion in new house building.”

As well as taking on the position of Commercial Director Tim has also taken on the role of daddy to baby Charlie after his wife Nina gave birth to the couple’s second child earlier this month.

“I am excited at the prospect of getting stuck into my new job and am grateful for the opportunity to play an even greater strategic role in the future direction of one of Gloucestershire’s fastest growing and most forward-thinking companies.”
