With a booming order book for 2015 we’ve launched a New Year recruitment drive to recruit apprentices across 9 of our 14 branches, including Gloucester.

Now an increase  in workloads means we’re looking to recruit additional electricians and apprentices in Gloucester, Exeter, Trowbridge, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Stafford, Oxford, Bracknell, and Southampton.

“Our order book is booming and we’re expecting 2015 to be one of our busiest years,” said Steve Evans, Managing Director of Clarkson Evans.

“We have a strong track record of offering much-needed apprenticeships and pride ourselves in providing exciting promotion opportunities for those looking for a long-term career with us,” said Mr Evans.

Our award-winning training, strong team spirit and excellent career prospects mean our local apprenticeship opportunities are in high demand, and we anticipate we will recruit up to 50 apprentices nationwide this year.

Apprentices get real experience working as part of a team on new housing developments in Gloucestershire, attending our purpose-built  training centre in Staverton on a day release basis.

Would-be apprentices need to have a natural knack for all things practical and the dedication and drive to work alongside a team of committed electricians. They need to be aged 18 , hold a full driving licence and have good GCSE grades in English and maths.

In return we offer long-term career prospects, bonus rewards for great performance, a company pension and free breakfast each morning!

We practise what we preach around vocational training and we were named as the winner of the Vocational Qualification (VQ) Employer of the Year Award 2014.

In total we employ around 600 staff and operate across much of southern England, the Midlands and south Wales. Despite operating in an industry that was hit hard by the recession, we have been steadily expanding in the last five years.
