A booming order book has sparked expansion in Oxfordshire for the UK’s leading electrical contractor Clarkson Evans.

The company, which specialises in wiring new homes for all the major house builders, was bursting at the seams of its former branch in Kidlington.

Now Clarkson Evans has moved into new, larger premises at Trade City Oxford, off Sandy Lane West in Littlemore, giving the company significantly more room for expansion.

“We are the electrical contractor of choice for a large number of the UK’s leading house builders in Oxfordshire and to satisfy demand we needed to expand our operations in the county,” said Simon Kingwell, Production Director at Clarkson Evans.

The Oxford branch is of strategic importance to Clarkson Evans and the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer has ambitious plans to recruit further apprentices and electricians in the county.

“It has taken us more than 18 months to find suitable premises. Now we are looking forward to a busy 2017 and have already won several new contracts in the region,” added Mr Kingwell.

The new Oxford branch will be managed by Area Manager James Smith and Area Supervisor Liam Brookbanks, a former apprentice at the company.

Clarkson Evans employs 48 staff in Oxfordshire and a further 710 staff across much of southern England, the Midlands and South Wales.
