Clarkson Evans has been named as a key sponsor in the inaugural Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2017.

The awards are designed to raise awareness of apprenticeship training in Oxfordshire and recognise outstanding apprentices already working across the county.

Clarkson Evans is sponsoring the School Award, designed to reward schools who are actively promoting apprenticeship training to its students and their parents.

So many young people still do not appreciate the wide variety of apprenticeship opportunities that are available to them when they leave school at 16 or 18 years old. Schools play a pivotal part in widening career horizons and signposting students towards local apprenticeship opportunities.

“By entering this award schools are letting the world know that they are a progressive institution that values apprenticeship training as a route into employment for its students,” said Lindsey Young, HR & Training Director at Clarkson Evans.

The winning school will receive a cash prize of £200 to put towards its careers education programme. They will also be offered the chance for up to 12 students to attend an ‘apprentice experience day’ hosted by Clarkson Evans in Oxford – a priceless reward which could motivate a young person to become Clarkson Evans’ next apprentice.
