Job Title

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated experienced administrator to join a small team supporting our production management staff who work remotely with a range of administration.

Based at our Cardiff Branch you’ll support the managers who oversee the work of our electrical teams on housing development sites in the Wales and South West region. Everyone in our team has an important role to play, and the more proactive and effective you are in handling administration that doesn’t require electrical expertise, the more our managers can dedicate their time to where it’s really needed.

These are some of the tasks that you’ll typically be responsible for:

·         Updating site details and tender notes on our in-house database

·         Submitting weekly timesheets for our store’s person to our payroll department

·         Handling paperwork required by our health and safety team

·         Monitoring the information displayed on branch noticeboards to ensure it remains current

·         Processing staff holiday requests

·         Reviewing regular productivity reports and highlighting issues

·         Helping to organise branch meetings, ordering catering and keeping registers of attendance

·         Chasing up overdue paperwork from staff

·         Handling incoming calls from our customers when the relevant area manager is not available

Strong IT skills are essential, and you’ll be expected to show plenty of initiative, both working in a team and on your own, taking it upon yourself to help out wherever possible rather than awaiting instruction on a daily basis. Our other production administrators are based in Stafford and Trowbridge, carrying out similar roles for our production teams in other regions and we encourage everyone in the team to keep in touch and share ideas regularly.

Working hours are based on a 39-hour week, typically 8.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.00am – 4.00pm on Fridays, with an hour for lunch.

Holiday entitlement starts at 22 days, increasing to 26 days with length of service
