Electricians: Permanent Roles in Warrington
We’re looking for qualified* electricians, ideally with some experience of wiring new homes, to work on housing developments in and around Warrington.
Although you’ll be responsible for leading a small team - usually yourself and two others – and taking charge of a couple of sites, this is very much a hands-on role. You’ll be expected to lead from the front and do whatever’s needed to keep up with site build programmes. You’ll have the freedom to organise your own workloads and (within reason) your start and finish times. All we ask is that you train your apprentice(s), look after your team mates, produce top-quality work and keep your site managers happy.
You’ll be given bags of support. There’s an area manager at your local branch and head office-based commercial and technical teams who are always at the end of the phone. You’ll be given a VW Transporter company van, uniform, iPad, PPE and power tools. Materials will be bagged up and delivered to the branch overnight so there’s no hanging around waiting for kit.
To make sure that you are properly rewarded for working hard and taking responsibility you’ll be paid weekly for what you achieve. Our generous fix prices and the support you’ll be given mean that typical earnings are around £20 - £30 per hour. Our very best electricians can earn over £40 per hour.
Hard workers get noticed. You’ll be able to significantly increase your earnings and benefits as you progress through the ranks. You could earn a twice-yearly loyalty bonus of up to 15% of your earnings and increase your holiday allowance from 29 days up to a generous 33 days (including bank holidays). All holidays are paid at average earnings so if you’re making £1,000 a week, then that’s what you’ll get when you’re relaxing by the hotel pool!
You will normally work Monday – Friday, arriving on site by 8.00am and finishing by 4:00pm - 5.00pm, but your hours will vary according to workloads and you will be expected to do what’s necessary to get the job done – especially at busy times of the year.
This is a challenging and demanding role, but if you’re well-organised and enthusiastic. If you’re hard-working but sick of just plodding along on the same hourly rate as everyone else. And if you feel that the time has come to step up and start taking more responsibility - with rewards to match - then this is a great opportunity. APPLY NOW
*If you are not fully qualified but have significant new-housing experience then we still want to hear from you as we may be able to help you complete your qualifications.
