TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING

Booking Procedure & Confirmation

Bookings can normally be accepted at any time prior to the course start date, subject to availability. Unless credit terms have been agreed, bookings remain provisional until receipt of payment.

Provisional bookings will normally be held for 14 days or up to 14 days before the course start date (whichever expires sooner). If payment is not received by this deadline, Clarkson Evans Training reserves the right to allocate the place to another customer. 

Joining instructions will be issued on receipt of payment, or on formal confirmation of booking if credit terms have been agreed.

Your Right to Cancel – Phone/Internet Bookings Only

Individuals booking a course via our website or over the telephone are deemed to be a booking by distance. In this instance the contract is governed by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling Regulations 2000). The Regulations generally give you seven working days (starting after the day in which you entered the agreement) to cancel the contract, unless it is agreed that the course starts within the seven day period.

Trade and Commercial bookings (i.e. bookings made by businesses rather than individual consumers) are a business to business transaction to which the Regulations will not apply. You will therefore be liable to pay the full course fee if you cancel before the date of the course (subject to Clarkson Evans Training’s discretion over whether it chooses to offer any refund).

Payment Terms

 For all online bookings full payment at time of booking is required. For all other bookings unless credit terms have been agreed, full payment in advance of the course is required.  Immediate payment is required for all courses booked less than 14 days before the course start date. Delegates will not be able to commence a course until full payment has been received.

Delegate Suitability

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the course is suitable for their requirements and that they have read and understood the course outline. It is also the responsibility of the person placing the booking to ensure that all delegates meet any necessary pre-requisites and are of the appropriate literacy and numeracy level for the course being booked. If you are unsure of a delegate’s suitability please contact us before booking.

Delegate Substitutions

If you would like to make a delegate substitution, please contact our training centre. Depending on the course, an administration charge may be incurred to cover awarding body fees.

Cancellation, Rescheduling or Non-Attendance 

If you wish to cancel or reschedule a course, the following cancellation and rescheduling charges will apply:

· All bookings cancelled with more than 28 days’ notice will be refunded in full, less any awarding body fees already incurred.

· Individual bookings (i.e. one delegate) cancelled with more than 14 days’ notice will be refunded in full, less any awarding body fees that we have already incurred

· Group bookings of two or more delegates on the same course will be refunded at 50% of the course fee if cancelled with between 14-28 days’ notice.

· All bookings cancelled with less than 14 days’ notice or previously transferred to a later date with less than 14 days’ notice and then cancelled are non-refundable.

If delegates are unable to attend due to exceptional circumstances that occur at short notice, a new date may be offered at our discretion, depending on when the course starts.

 We withhold the right to cancel or reschedule courses at any stage; although we try to avoid this and will give as much notice as possible. Please ensure that your contact details are up to date so that we may contact you if necessary. In the event that we cancel or reschedule a course for which payment has already been received, a full refund will be offered. Clarkson Evans Training cannot be held liable for any costs incurred by customers as a result of cancellation or rescheduling (including the costs of prepaid travel or accommodation).

Course Paperwork

The course confirmation letter, receipt, joining instructions and the Clarkson Evans Training terms and conditions (regarding booking, cancelling and course date changes) will be sent to you by email. Should you not have access to email, please let us know and the course paperwork will be sent to you by post.
